- Laurie Squire is happy that she lives in the part of the state where stores are open on Sundays. When she's not shopping she's writing about shopping and when she's not doing either she works in broadcasting as does her pun-happy husband, Herb. Terrific twin daughters, a super son-in-law and cute pets round out the picture. She is a graduate of Finch College and NYU, and is one of those people who didn't-finish-doctoral-work -but-swears-she-will-one-day (Columbia University's Teachers College).
